Bridal Shower Look: White Jumpsuit

Hey there, bridal babes! Happy #WeddingWednesday!

I hope you all loved my post last Friday, breaking down Bridal Shower Looks for Every Bride! Today, I want to break down my “Modern Bride” look a bit more - the look I ultimately chose for my Saint Louis-based Bridal Shower - and talk about choosing own bridal shower look!

Bridal Shower Look: White Jumpsuit

After having looked at multiple different styles, I thought I was settled on my classic bride look. The dress fit well, it looked classy and bridal, and I felt good in it. But the day before my shower, I kept feeling as though it just wasn’t “the one,” you know? I got off work a bit early and had some time to spare, so I stopped by Express on my way home.

As soon as I walked in, I saw this jumpsuit hanging to the left of the entrance and knew I needed to try it on.

Why I Chose This Look

As soon as I had it on, I knew it was the one. I felt bridal, but still felt like me. I’m not a “classic” girl. I like having a modern edge to every outfit I wear, even if it is bridal. I still felt feminine, but powerful and confident enough to sit there and answer questions in front of people.

Beyond how it made me feel, a jumpsuit silhouette is great for so many body types. The bodysuit styled top coming into the high-waisted pants bottom is so flattering for curves. It has a perfect front V that is completely appropriate for bridal events while still maintaining a statement. And the lace overlay is gorgeous.

How to Choose Your Bridal Shower Outfit

When choosing your own bridal shower look, the two most important things are that you feel confident and comfortable. You’re going to be greeting a lot of people, be up in front of a room full of people moving around and opening gifts. You need to feel confident and comfortable in what you’re wearing. The last thing you want is to be pulling at your skirt or messing with your top the entire time and ruining photos!

So when shopping for your look:

  1. Give yourself plenty of time to look at different styles.

  2. Try outfits on to make sure they fit right.

  3. And get them altered if they don’t.

  4. Splurge on quality if you need to/can - now is the time.

  5. Stay true to your personality and let it shine through!

Your bridal shower is a day full of love, laughter and memories. Allow yourself to feel great going into it so you can focus on the things that truly matter - making memories with the people who love you and want to celebrate you.

I can’t wait to see what look you put together for your own shower! Make sure to share it with me on Instagram (@agirlherlife) so I can see!

Happy styling!
